As the last of our guests were leaving last night from Matthew's birthday party, we noticed 5 other guests in the tree in our front yard.
It was a family of Eastern Screech Owls that were watching our every move. It was amazing to watch them turn their heads to follow our movements. Apparently, they are common to our area of the United States and they often return to the same place year after year to nest. We will definitely be on the look out next year for their return.
Our old street was named, Owl's Cove Place. We now have "The Return of Owl's Cove Place" just in another town and we are happy to have them. Matthew even made sure the bird bath in our front yard has water for them. We are all about hospitality!
