Happy Mother's Day

(Kay, Carol and Marian)

My mother, Marian has been a wonderful example for me growing up and now as an adult.  I am grateful to her for the many practical things she taught me, like cooking and sewing, but I also attribute my love of reading, crafting and movies to her.  She has willingly accepted Paul into our family and supports us in many ways by helping me with home projects, keeping the boys, sewing costumes and just listening when I need someone with whom to talk.

I am also grateful for my mother-in-law, Kay.  She reared the boy who grew up to become my husband and the father to my children.  Her example taught him to be generous and willing to help others.  In the 25 years I have known her, she has accepted me and treated me with kindness and respect as if I were her daughter.  It is not lost on me that I am very fortunate to have that kind of relationship with my mother-in-law as many spouses are not so fortunate.

Happy Mother's Day!
