Matthew and I went to my grandmother's funeral in Llano.  On the way there, we noticed a lot of people pulling off the road to look at something.  It turns out that just south of Llano on Highway 29, there is a nesting area for bald eagles.  On the way back to Austin after the funeral, we decided to stop.  Matthew asked me to take some pictures.  I really needed a telephoto lens, but you can see the outline of the nest and an eagle sitting on top.  The other half of the mating pair was sitting in the tree further away keeping watch.

It was pretty impressive!
