Every year since Andrew was born, we have taken the boys to have a picture with Santa. All of the pictures are in frames that we put out every year when we decorate for Christmas. The boys all love to put the pictures in order and see who was crying in some of them. Even though Andrew is getting a little old for it, he did not complain at all.
Before it was time for the boys to go up, Santa asked Paul to come help make Jacob feel more comfortable, so he wouldn't cry. We assured Santa that it wouldn't be necessary. Jacob had his list ready and he wasn't worried at all.
Santa took a lot of time to talk to the boys. Andrew asked for a unicycle, Matthew asked for a nutcracker and some state flags, and Jacob asked for a tool bench, a blanket, a nutcracker. The younger the child, the longer the list. One thing I loved about this Santa is that he told the boys, "Remember, this is a wish list. I'll do my best for you." In other words, no promises. That may help us when it comes to the unicycle.
