Our Trip to Maryland and Pennsylvania - Part 3

Our next adventure was to Sesame Place.  It is an amusement park located about 30 minutes north of Philadelphia.  We rode roller coasters, saw the Sesame Street characters and splashed in the water park.
Jacob was once again completely worn out, but all of the kids loved every minute of it.

We had a couple of low key days so the kids could recover, but our final big adventure before it was time to pick up Andrew from camp was at Kilgore Falls.  Kilgore Falls is the second highest free falling water fall in Maryland.  It is part of Rocks State Park.
It is about a mile hike along a trail to get to the falls.
The water was too chilly for Jacob to want to get all the way in, but he enjoyed floating a boat down.
Matthew was much braver about the water temperature.  He jumped right in.
He practiced his rock skipping too.
He wanted to see what it was like to stand in the falls.  I was too much of a sissy to brave the cold.
The kids were all patient with us for picture taking.
This was the last picture before Jacob and I went down in the water and broke the camera.  Luckily, the memory card survived!

We all had a wonderful trip!  I am grateful to my friends, Mark and Fran for hosting us for the whole week.  It was amazing how well everyone got along for that length of time.  It is really special when my kids are friends with my friend's children.  We look forward to the next time we can see them!
