Yesterday was Matthew's first day of kindergarten! He is attending a private kindergarten that starts a little later than the public schools. So, after a week of taking Andrew to school and coming home with me, he is so excited to finally be in school himself. He is thrilled to have a desk and a cubby with his name on it. He feels so big! Of course, there were no problems with dropping him off, just a quick hug and he was off. He is Mr. Independent!
Matthew has always loved to read books together with Paul and me, but over the summer, he really started to show more interest in reading himself. He gets such a big grin on his face when he feels the success of reading a book all by himself. I think this is going to be a great year for him.
