Today was Andrew's first day of second grade at Barbara Bush Elementary School. He was very excited and even decided all on his own to put together a small gift to take his his teacher, Mrs. Everett. It was a little craft that he made last week.
Every morning, all of the kids on our cul-de-sac, about 12, gather near the stop sign and we all walk, bike or scooter to school. It is a fun way to start the day. We have some great neighbors who are so supportive. We all know that if anyone needs help getting our kids to or from school, we can count on each other.
When I picked Andrew up from school today, he said that he has the nicest teacher in second grade. It sounds like we are off to a great start!

That sounds great! I never put it together that he is the same age as my middle child, Emma. She started 2nd grade also. My baby is in Kinder and my oldest is in 5th.
Andrew looks SO tall in that photo! I am glad that he is enjoying a good start to his school year. And what a fun way to get to school with the neighborhood tribe.
They are growing up way too fast. Hope y'all are doing well. My best to you and Paul.
