With Jacob's first birthday coming up next week I have found myself reminiscing about our other boys' first birthdays...
For Andrew's first birthday, we had a family party at our house. All of the grandparents, cousins, aunts and uncles came. My grandfather was living close by and he came too. He truly loved his grandkids and great-grandkids. We really miss him.
I made a teddy bear shaped cake and we had a pinata that was shaped like a number 1. I can't believe that he will be 8 in November!
For Matthew's actual first birthday, we were in Washington, D.C. with our friends Fran and Mark and their kids and Steve and Christy and their kids. We all celebrated at a restaurant there. He was very curious about the candle.
Then we went to Austin the next weekend and had a family party with grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins there. Matthew's cake had a teddy bear on it and we had a dragonfly pinata.
The time has flown by, but it is so much fun to see their personalities develop. We are so proud of the awesome boys they have become.
