Although Hurricane Ike came and went several weeks ago, almost every house in the neighborhood still had piles of debris left over from the damage to all of the trees. We had been told that it would be another month or so until the county was able to clear it. We know that many other people our community suffered true damage to their homes so we are truly lucky, but we were ready to see the big pile gone from our yard. Paul was planning to just go ahead and take it to the recycling center himself this weekend, but...
lo and behold, a crew with a large dump truck and claw arrived this afternoon and took it all away! They took care of it in about one minute. It is amazing what a large piece of equipment can do! Thank you Montgomery County!
It is so exciting to finally have our yard back. The only disappointing thing is that Matthew, our construction fanatic missed it. He was at school. However, I did capture it on video so hopefully that will help and he can watch it over and over.
