Back in Time

Back in the fall, I purchased a groupon for Pioneer Farms.  Pioneer Farms has been around for a long time.  In fact, Paul and I both went there on field trips as elementary school students.  My plan had been for us to go to one of their Halloween or Christmas events.  Needless to say, we didn't get there and the groupon was about to expire, so we took time out to have a family outing today.
We got to see different carriages of the late 1800's.
There were a couple of wood working demonstrations going on.  I was amazed at how engaged the boys were.
One of the volunteers gave us an extensive tour of a home from around 1870.
We also saw several other types of historical homes.
There were rabbits, horses, donkeys and a pig, but Jacob was most interested in the Longhorn cattle.  They were pretty aggressive about being fed, so he was startled by them.  He even said, "Longhorns are evil!"  As an Aggie, that made my heart sing.  I am mostly kidding.  Ha! Ha!
