Today was "Come and Go Day" at Jacob's preschool. It is a time for the children and parents to see the classrooms and teachers before they actually stay for a school day.
Last year he was in the Minnows Class. This year his class is the Grey Seals. After convincing him that he wasn't in the Minnows anymore, everything went swimmingly. (Corny joke, I know.)
Jacob used dot paints to create a placemat for snack and meal times.
He spent a long time brushing up on his fine motor skills by using tongs to pick up sparkly pom poms.
He washed dishes and vacuumed in the home center. If only I could get him to do those things at home, I would have it made!
He built a tall tower,
and he finished off his time by reading in the book center. He read every book on the shelf. It thrills me that he loves to read!
His teachers Ms. Mary and Ms. Lisa were warm and welcoming. He all set to have such a fantastic year! Tomorrow is his first day to go without me.
