Today, Andrew's Cub Scout Pack had their annual Raingutter Regatta Races. If you are not familiar with these races, they are like the Pinewood Derby races, only it is a wooden boat that the boys sand and paint. The boys put a lot of thought into their boats this year and they are very proud of the results.
They use gutters filled with water to race the boats. The boys blow into the sails to make them travel down the gutter.
Andrew came in second place. He received a medal to wear on his Cub Scout uniform.
Cub Scouts has what they call the "Me-Too Program." It allows siblings who are not currently involved in Scouting to participate in most of the activities. Matthew did a great job designing and racing his boat. He came in third place for the Me-Too racers.
