Fall is my favorite time of year. As is our tradition, today we took the boys to the pumpkin patch at a local church. They sell the pumpkins to support their missions projects. We look forward to this time every year. It is fun to see all of the pumpkins and to take the required pictures.
Andrew's pumpkin
Matthew's pumpkin
Jacob's pumpkin
The boys each get to pick out a pumpkin to bring home. We put them on the front porch to enjoy for a couple of weeks and then we carve them a few days before Halloween. It is usually hot and humid enough here that they will just become a moldy, mushy mess if we do it too soon.
Jacob got a ride to the checkout. Matthew was exicted to show his strength. Being able to pull your brother and a couple of pumpkins in a wagon is a big deal. He is such a good sport.
Everyone tolerated my picture taking pretty well. Although by the end, Matthew was saying, "No more pictures please." Now plans are underway to decide what our jack-o-lanterns will look like when we are finished carving them. It is a very important decision. We will keep you posted on the creative designs we come up with.
