We spent Memorial Day weekend at the ranch.
When we arrived, we discovered that there was a new baby cow that had been born in the previous day or two. The children named her Radar because of her large ears. I know it's not a great pic, but as you can see, I had a little help from our donkey, Rico.
Paul was able to pick up Radar the next day and give the children a chance to pet her. It was a rare opportunity to get up close and personal with a newborn calf.

There was an even greater surprise Sunday morning when we discovered that another baby had been born overnight. We aren't sure the gender of this little one, but it has been named "Norman" as a nod to the movie "City Slickers."
