Matthew's class took a field trip to Crowe's Nest Farm today and I got to go along.
They have both traditional farm animals and wild animals, including a porcupine.
We learned about birds of prey such as this barred owl, Hooter and
there was a milking demonstration with Bella the cow.
Our tour guide let Matthew hold this milk snake because it is his birthday.
We both loved seeing the ostriches,
especially this little guy. Neither of us had seen a baby ostrich before.
Not a bad way to spend your birthday!
