For our last day in Maui, we started off with a few more excursions. Andrew and I learned to stand up paddle board while Matthew went fishing with Uncle Ed and Grant. The paddle boarding was really fun. I can see that it is something we would like to do again.
Matthew's fishing trip didn't yield ANY fish, but they did get to see a pod of about 6 humpback whales up close and he got to drive the boat, so all was not lost.
After paddle boarding, Tyler, Ben and Andrew got to see an actual sperm whale skeleton that washed up on shore in the late 1960's. It was not a full grown whale, but at about 40 feet long, it was still impressive.
On our way to a luau, we checked out the Hawaiian style holiday decorations.
We all enjoyed a Hawaiian meal and hula dancing.
Alli and Andrew went up on stage for a quick hula lesson, but I was unable to get a picture.
Matthew got to meet a couple of the dancers. The male dancer was the one who danced with fire. We enjoyed the extra dose of "Aloha" before our departure tomorrow morning!
