We got to do another cool activity with Little Helping Hands today.
We visited the Goodwill GreenWorks Recycling center. We took a little tour where we learned that Goodwill brings in more than 50 tons of computers and other technology from all around Central Texas each week. Each load is brought in and weighed on this scale. Today we had more than 300 pounds of children! Ha! Ha!
Our job was to help take apart the computers.
After we opened up the computers, we sorted the parts inside, so the staff at Goodwill can determine what is useable and what should be recycled.
Jacob and Matthew loved using the tools and taking things apart! I love the fact that we helped keep more things from going in the landfills.
