Twice in the last couple of weeks, Matthew's class has attempted to take a field trip to learn about water only to be thwarted by...water. Rain that is...It was looking like it would be a three strikes and you're out situation as rain was threatening us again, but finally the field trip organizers decided to move the activities inside. Despite weather concerns, it turned out to be a wonderful field trip to the LCRA Redbud Center.
The fourth graders learned about the water cycle,
the reasons we use dams,
water conservation,
and sources of water pollution.
I would definitely recommend this field trip for students. The boys and girls were all interested and engaged in what they were learning.
