Today's Update

No major events have happened in the last few days.  We are continuing to work on getting settled.  Hanging pictures, rearranging the garage, etc. has been consuming most of our time.  It isn't always fun, but it sure makes it easier to find things and makes this house begin to feel a little more like home.

We have saved some time for fun though.  Last night, some neighbor's invited us to have dinner at their house.  Funny thing was that they are mutual friends with some people we know from high school.  They invited our high school friends to come too.  It was nice to reconnect with people and to get to know new ones too.  I know time will tell, but feels like we will really like this neighborhood.  We plan to return the favor and have them over for a cookout and swimming some time soon.

Andrew and Matthew have gotten the "puppy bug."  They think we need a puppy.  They are lobbying us hard to get us to say yes.  They have even offered to pay part of the adoption fees, etc.  Now that Scout has died, they think we need to replace him with a pet of the canine variety.  Paul and I are still discussing this, but I know we won't do anything drastic before we take Andrew to Pennsylvania for International Gymnastics Camp in a few weeks.  They sure are cute when they are little, but then they grow up.

That's all for now...

Yes, and obedience classes train the owner(s) how to train the pup.
I certainly understand your hesitation, though.

Maybe if y'all can decide what needs the pup/dog will be fulfilling, you'll pick a pup that will make a fine addition to your new home.
