Paul's department at work reserved a party zone for us at The Dell Diamond.
We headed over for some food, fun with friends and lots of fly balls.
The winds were fierce, so there were several home runs, and even one grand slam while we were there.
It was over 100 degrees, so the boys really NEEDED a frozen treat.
Putting their own syrup on was an added bonus.
Jacob has overcome his fear of mascots. He spotted "Spike" and insisted that we stop for a hug and a picture. Spike was happy to oblige.
Despite being in the area many times, this was our first trip to the Dell Diamond. One really cool feature is a YMCA sponsored play area for the kids. I was impressed that they even have it staffed, so there are people watching to make sure the rules are followed, etc. Even in the heat, we all had a great time!
