Our friends and neighbors held a going away party for us. We had a potluck and fun in the pool at one of the local parks. It was wonderful to see everyone. The kids had a great time seeing friends. I most enjoyed visiting with friends too.
Rene is one of my first Woodlands friends. Her daughter and Andrew were in preschool together and Matthew is good friends with her son. She has been there for me whenever I need her. Words can't express how much I treasure her friendship and how much I will miss her. You can bet the phone lines will be put to good use by me calling to vent, etc. to Rene.
Mary and Melinda are great neighbors, but more importantly great friends. We have watched each others' children grow up. They are so supportive, generous and fun! I can only hope for neighbors half as great as them at our new house. Special thanks to Mary for setting up the party!
I had to torture all of the kids for a groups shot, but I am glad I did. It was so fun to have everyone there.
While it will be so nice to be closer to family, the worst part about moving is leaving our friends who have been like family to us. Thank you to everyone for your friendships and support for the past eleven years! We plan to stay in touch by whatever means necessary.
