but really it was just an "Ice Day."
Andrew and Matthew got up at 6:20 this morning to go play in the snow. The only problem was that there wasn't any snow, only ice. They came into my room this morning to tell me they were going outside. I got up to get dressed so I could take a few pictures of them. Our bedroom is at the back of the house, so I could hear them go into the backyard as I was getting dressed. I heard them take a couple of steps and then BOOM! One of them obviously slipped on the ice. A couple of seconds later, the other one went down. Both were fine, just a little surprised to hit the deck.
The fact that it was 25 degrees and dark didn't bother them. They were just disappointed that it was only ice.
They made the best of it though by finding ice chunks and peeling the ice from leaves to make leaf shapes. Considering we live in Houston, they are lucky to have had any frozen precipitation.
