It is a normal weekday morning. Everyone is dressed and ready for the day. We have had a pleasant breakfast. Usually we walk to school, but Jacob is sick with fever and it is cold, so I am in the car with the three boys taking Andrew to school. We are just about to pull into the school parking lot when out of the blue it happened:
Matthew: "So how do you get a baby anyway?"
Me: (Thinking) "Okay, so how do I answer this one? I wasn't prepared for this today. Maybe we should have walked to school."
Before I can answer:
Andrew: "They fertilize you."
Me: (Still thinking) "Okay, so how do I explain THIS one?"
Again, before I can answer:
Matthew: "They put chicken poop on you?!?"
Fortunately for me, we all burst into laughter, things deteriorated from there and I didn't have to answer the question. Obviously though, I am going to have to prepare myself for these surprise attacks.
