Harvest Time

Back in March, Paul used his tractor to plow an area near the house in which to plant a garden.  With help from Mimi and most of the aunts and uncles, the boys and their cousins planted, watered and weeded the garden.  This weekend was a time to harvest!
The cousins all had fun gathering and washing the bounty!
There were cucumbers, several types of lettuce, snow peas, spinach, potatoes, onions, basil and zucchini.  Hopefully, when we return, the peppers, tomatoes, beans and corn will be ready to harvest.
Later that day, the children all helped Mimi make homemade pasta.  We had a great dinner that night using many of the fresh veggies we had grown.  It is fun when a little hard work pays off!
