To begin Matthew's 8th birthday celebrations, I went to school to read stories to his class. After reading, I stuck around to have lunch with him and to let him pass out sugar cookies to his classmates. He was so sweet. As he handed a cookie to each of his classmates, he said, "These are my mom's homemade sugar cookies." He was so proud to make that announcement, but not as proud as I am of him!
