The babysitter we asked to come to watch the boys while we participated in today's race had already committed to taking a load of food to the local food bank, but she said she would love to take them with her to help.
They had the most wonderful experience working there. They checked the expiration dates on the food.
They cleaned the cans,
and they sorted the food.
Jacob did his part by being low maintenance. He read books and played with his toys in the stroller so they could get the job done.
Andrew and Matthew could not stop talking about all they had done there. This experience made such an impact upon them. They have a better understanding and appreciation for volunteering and for all that we are privileged to have.
