Paul and I ran "Ten for Texas" this morning. It is a 10 mile race. We ran it in honor of our friend, Christi, who had an astrocytoma brain tumor removed last December. She has been undergoing chemotherapy and radiation since then. She decided that she wanted to raise awareness of brain cancer and to prove that she could run this race, so about 75 of her friends formed Team Hope to run the race with her. We finished the race in 1 hour and 36 minutes and then stayed to cheer for Christi as she came over the finish line. She was greeted by a sea of purple shirts and balloons. It was a privilege to be there!
