We have lived here for about 10 1/2 years and we have never gone to the Texas Renaissance Festival. With beautiful weather and nothing on the calendar for today, we decided to make the trip back into the 16th century.
Our first stop was a variety show with magic and crazy stunts like sword swallowing and juggling flaming batons on a unicycle.
We also checked out the many vendors like the one that made this fantastic tree trunk swing.
Jacob rode the carousel.
Andrew and Matthew jumped on a bungee trampoline that sent them way up in the air.
We explored the gardens,
and after lunch including sausage on a stick for Matthew, we finished the day by witnessing the jousting tournament.
We had a wonderful time, but I prefer the 21st century any day!
