With Andrew at International Gymnastics Camp, my friend, Fran and I decided to take the children camping at Dutch Wonderland, an amusement park in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

After weathering an afternoon thunderstorm while setting up the camper, we headed over to let the children enjoy a few rides before the park closed.
Everyone was worn out from so much fun, so we headed back for some much needed rest.
Fran whipped up some pancakes and sausage for breakfast. We ate next to the roller coaster that neighbors the camp ground and headed to the camp ground playgroung to wait for Dutch Wonderland to open.
Then it was over to the amusement park to have more fun!
The mascot of Dutch Wonderland is a dragon named Duke. Jacob is terrified of people in costumes like these, but he had a bit of morbid curiosity about Duke. He didn't want to take a picture with or get close to Duke, but he wanted Duke to wave at him and every time we saw Duke he called out to him.
Dutch Wonderland also has a small water park attached to it, so we cooled off there in the afternoon.
We all had such a great time! Matthew and Jacob had no fear. They LOVED the rides. I was amazed. I was more afraid to ride some of the rides than they were. Matthew is a roller coaster junkie. There were almost now lines to wait in, so he rode the big one about 5 times in a row. It was the perfect park to take Jacob to because they had so many things he could do. Usually, he has to sit and watch. It was an awesome outing!
