Paul had a conference for work in San Francisco and I got to go along! It was our first trip without the boys since 2009.
While Paul was in meetings, I got to meet up with my friend Lauri and to meet her daughter, Alexandra. We hadn't seen each other since 2000, so it was wonderful to catch up with her.
Paul and I rode one of the famous cable cars,
checked out the sea lions at Pier 39,
and climbed the many hills in the city.
We finished up our trip with Lauri joining us on a tour of the Napa Valley
and its wineries.
We stopped at five wineries
using the car and driver that Paul hired for the day.
The weather and scenery were really outstanding!
Our driver was very gracious about taking a picture at each of the wineries.
We learned a litte about wine,
and we loved getting to spend more time with Lauri.
