Our little contribution to Earth Day was volunteering with Little Helping Hands to mark local storm drains with plaques that encourage people not to pollute the water.
Matthew was dressed and ready to be our personal safety patrol.
First we had to clean the area where the plaque was to be placed.
Then we applied the adhesive.
Finally, the plaque was placed.
As we walked to the different storm drains in the neighborhood, we also passed out informational flyers from the city to encourage people keep our water ways clean. We had fun and learned about keeping our city clean at the same time.
