Spring Break at the Ranch

We spent the beginning of Spring Break at the ranch.

We were so lucky to have our former neighbors, Mary, Joey, Jared and Kara join us for lots of fun!

 The children spent lots of time on the pond in the boat, fishing, biking, and riding in the golf cart. It was a wonderful reunion.  We miss our good friends.  It felt like home to be with them.  We picked right up where we had left off.

 It happened that my birthday fell while we were there.  Paul conspired with Mary to have her bring a red velvet cake made by our favorite cake lady, Kay.  It was a nice and delicious surprise!  

It was special to spend my birthday with friends and family that I love.  Mary has always been there for me.  I am glad we haven't let geography get in our way.
