When I hear the word "fair", I think of fun...games, popcorn, cotton candy...but, apparently I have the wrong definition of the word "fair" when it comes to Science Fair because it really is not fun. I know! I should be more enthusiastic. After all, I was a teacher, but these types of projects just end up requiring intense adult participation from both Paul and me and they often include tears of frustration from our children. I don't think these issues are limited to our family.
Andrew was required to participate in Science Fair this year. We have been working on his project for the last two months.
He conducted an experiment to see if the direction of root growth in plants would change if the plants were turned every two days. The short answer is yes, they do change direction. Obviously, he didn't give the short answer for his project though.
We all survived the process, but I am already dreading next year when both Andrew and Matthew will have to turn in Science Fair projects.
