Andrew competed in the Region 3 Men's Gymnastics Meet in New Orleans. Region 3 consists of gymnasts from Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri, Arkansas and Louisiana. To be eligible to compete, gymnasts must make a minimum score of 75 in the All Around competition at the State Meet.
It was his first time to compete at the Regional level. He had a hard time. He made mistakes he never makes and did not really seem to be himself. Maybe it was all a little overwhelming for him or maybe he was tired from our late travels the night before. Whatever the cause, he handled it very well and it has refocused him. He is now more determined to perfect his skills and try again.
We are proud of his hard work, sportsmanship and determination and we are looking forward to seeing him grow as a young man and as a gymnast.
