We had a rare Saturday with absolutely nothing on the schedule, so we decided to go for a family outing. Despite being here for almost two years, none of us had ever been to the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center, so we decided to check it out.
It is a little early in the season for the wildflowers to be in full bloom, but we enjoyed the beautiful weather while we hiked the trails,
checked out the butterflies and moths as they emerged,
and checked out the view from the observation tower.
There was also a really interesting cave that the boys wanted to go in, but it is off limits.
We found a few bluebonnets in a flower bed, so of course I had to subject the boys to a picture.
We had a nice time with just the five of us. We plan to go back soon.
