There was quite a gathering in the neighborhood tonight. We all went down the street to watch a colony of bats emerge from a neighbor's chimney.
Jacob kept pointing the bats out to Paul, but he wasn't really interested in being down on the ground.
I took a short video of them emerging. It is a little dark because they come out at dusk, but it was fun to see them flying. Of course, our local colony doesn't compare to the bats that inhabit the Town Lake Bridge in Austin, but it was still so interesting for everyone to see.
