The ceiling fan in our front room finally died. We weren't really sad because it was pretty hideous looking. However, the ceiling in that room is 18 feet high so changing it out is not simple. Much to the delight of the boys, Paul decided to rent scaffolding to change out the fan. While he had the scaffolding, he offered to replace the old brass chandelier in the dining room where the ceiling is also 18 feet high. All three boys were so excited by the process that they couldn't keep their hands and feet off the scaffolding. Andrew and Matthew wanted to go to the top level, but I had to draw the line at the lower level. Poor Jacob just got to go up for the picture and then right back down. They still had a lot of fun! I am just thrilled to have updated lighting!
